"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:16-18
I want to encourage you, as I have been encouraged... to love with actions and in truth.
There are some truly amazing things happening that you just have to read about! These are ordinary people that are living out their lives as Scripture tells them to... with actions and in truth!
Go check out Amazima Ministries and read about a young woman that is living her life "sold out" for Jesus as she cares for orphans. Read about how God is working in amazing ways as His faithful daughter, Katie, follows Him and obeys.
Go to Oatsvall Team and support this amazing family in their quest to adopt two more children by buying a really cute t-shirt. Read about how she is touching so many lives for the King as she faithfully serves Him.
Go to Soli De Gloria and read a wonderful story of faith and trust as this precious family witnesses a miracle in their baby boy. Have your faith strengthened as you read about what God is doing in their family as they obey His call.
Go to Project Hopeful and find out more information about the plight of HIV+ children and how God is using a faithful Mom and her family to bring glory to His name. Read the stories of life changing, life saving miracles as the call to action is obeyed and this ministry begins.
Each one of us is called to serve "with actions and in truth"...
As one blog friend put it so well, "I can honestly say that I don't know a single person who cannot afford to give. Some how we get in our minds that God wants us to do something big. True, some people are called to do big things....but most are not. Most of us will be given many opportunities to do small things for our Lord, and He will in turn make much of them, for His kingdom purpose."
I am inspired, encouraged, motivated, challenged, and blessed... by the faithfulness of these families and how God is using them to do great things for His name sake!! To Him be the Glory!!!
